Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara Review

In short, Rimel Scandaleyes in Extreme Black 003 is one of my absolute favorite mascaras to use. I’ve been using it for at least a year and a half, maybe more, and I’m always happy with it. It never clumps, has great shades for all makeup styles, and is relatively cheap.

The mascara bottle is chunky and cute in black and white, while the wand has a sleek, chunky to skinny and back, look at it. I love the style of this hourglass wand because it gets all of my eyelashes in one sweep, and I usually only have to go again over my eyelashes to plump them out more once or twice.

If you are someone who uses more than one coat of mascara, then I guarantee you will be extremely happy with this product. It dries quickly so you can apply the second later, and even meshes well with other brands if you would like to use a different one with it.

There are three shades for this product, which are listed for you below;

  • Extreme Black
  • Black
  • Brown/Black Mix

The texture and smell are of a typical mascara, neither stand out too much, which makes this product even better. The mascara itself is not clumpy and applies quite smoothly.

The pros for this product speak for themselves! While there are not any vibrant colors, the colors that are available are gorgeous and help your eyes to stand out. As I said before, the mascara liquid is never lumpy and does not clump your eyelashes together, even if you use more than one coat as I do. I cannot find any negatives with this product at all, which makes it incredibly good for its price, which is also a great value.

Overall, I’d give Rimmel Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara a 10/10!

L’Oreal True Match Compact Review

I’ve been using L’Oreal True Match Compact in the shade of Porcelain W1 for about a year now. It’s an excellent product to use after a bit of liquid foundation and helps to smooth everything out before you apply anything else. It can go freely all over your face, including your eyelids! This compact is priced reasonably, as well.

The compact itself has two flips; one for the product itself, and another underneath for the sponge and a small mirror. It has an elegant design to it overall, which is somewhat see-through, so you’ll know what shade you’re getting. There are multiple shades to choose from, so there is a shade for all skin tones;

  • Buff Beige – N4
  • Soft Sable – C6
  • Classic Ivory – N2
  • Sun Beige – W6
  • Honey Beige – N6
  • Light Ivory – W2
  • Natural Beige – W4
  • Natural Buff – N3
  • Natural Ivory – C2
  • Nude Beige – W3
  • Porcelain – W1
  • Sand Beige – W5
  • Shell Beige – C4
  • Soft Ivory – N1

The texture is not too bad, it has a light, fluffy feeling to it, and you don’t need too much of it. All you have to do is lightly dab the sponge into the compact and wipe it across your face. The smell of the product itself is not strong, either.

The largest pro for this product would be that it blends incredibly well with your skin, as long as you get the right shade for your skin tone. Another pro would be the fact that it has everything included, considering the mirror, and that the top is see through, so you can see the exact shade you will be buying. This product is also SPF 17!

The biggest, con, however, is that if you don’t get the right shade for your skin tone, it can make you look too pale or too dark. Therefore, you should always see if there is a tester product around to compare with, or ask a beautician if there is one in the store.

Overall, I would give this product an 8/10 score.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review

 I’ve only used Rimmel Match Perfection liquid foundation in Fair Ivory a couple of times now, but I’m already in love with it! I use it as my base foundation before I put on any powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, etc. Overall, I think it’s a great product thus far, and I have had no issue nor complaint with it. The price is amazing for the value, as well.

The bottle is actually quite attractive, and I’m impressed with it. It’s a bigger bottle than I would have expected, but it’s pretty nonetheless. The foundation is used by pushing the pump on the top, and it comes out in small dollops instead of squirting out like other brands tend to do.

There are 8 shades for Rimmel Match Perfection, which are listed below for you;

  • Classic Ivory
  • Fair Ivory
  • Light Nude
  • Ivory
  • True Ivory
  • Soft Beige
  • Classic Beige
  • Sand
  • Nude

The texture of the product is far from greasy, which means it won’t feel like you’re caking oil onto your face, and that’s one of the many reasons why I love it. The overall feeling of it is literally a liquid, and it’s as light as foundation ought to be. The smell is somewhat of a soapy scent, but it’s not one that is too strong or overpowering.

In general, this product has no downside to it, as long as you select the proper shade for your skin tone. One of the biggest pros for this product is that it hydrates your skin for as long as you wear it, and it helps to make your pores disappear! The product is also easily blended into your skin, so you do not have to worry about it looking noticeable. While not a heavy product, it looks like you’re wearing barely any makeup at all when you use it alone.

Overall, I’d give Rimmel Match Perfection a 10/10!

Review – Fusion Beauty anti-acne primer

I have tried enough makeup primers, but none of them convinced me that there is a big difference between applying a primer + foundation or just a foundation. With primer, the foundation stays a bit longer, so I usually use a primer when I go to a party, and I need everything to look good for more than 8 hours. When I put my usual makeup for going to work, sometimes I use a primer, sometimes I do not… depending on how much time I have and my mood that day.

I bought Fusion Beauty anti-acne primer on strawberry, on sale, of course – they had good sale prices, and I cannot stop buying – with only 11 euros compared to the full price of 31 euros. I loved the description, and I convinced myself that it’s worth buying: it has salicylic acid for reducing without irritations the bacteria causing acne, absorbs and controls oil, reduces pores, has among its ingredients calming plants to stop red spots and it creates a calm, clean complexion, without imperfections.

Although I do not have problems with acne or spots, the description seemed too intriguing to resist.

Fusion Beauty anti-acne primer has a yellowish color, curious because all primers I had so far were clear. The product is fast absorbed, does not leave a grease layer, and it does not influence the skin or foundation’s color. I use my fingers to apply (I know bad bad, but that’s all) on my cleaned face, after using a moisturizer.

Honestly, I do not feel any difference on my skin, as I cannot say I have acne, but pimples appear from time to time. Probably it should be used daily as almost all cosmetic products, but I am a lazy person. On the other hand, I felt a difference in foundation resistance, which was improved by a few hours: about 12 hours instead of 8 hours. So, it has positive effects. I do not have redness or spots, and I do not know what to say about this. Even if Fusion Beauty anti-acne primer is better than the primers I had before, I do not know if I would pay for it the retail price. I would buy this makeup primer again only on sale.
